Helloo People of Earth!! It has been centuries! (Okay, maybe a couple of weeks.) You may have wondered “Where’d she go? Is she dead?”  Well no, I’m not. We recently received a new teacher in computers, and she doesn’t include Edublogs in the curriculum. We just do projects. I will try to change that. I most definitely love talking to everyone, I mean, who doesn’t like talking to Australians?  ♥ After school though, I will try to get in a post. I promise. Scratch that, pinky promise.

If you read my other posts, you will know that I said I will let you know about my birthday party. That won’t be in this post, however. It’s waay too long.  But I promise, I will write it. Probably tomorrow. Okay, instead of saying “I promise, I promise” I’m going to make an oath. Here it goes.

I, Deja, vow to always have a post every week. It will be very detailed and fun.

Okay, oath over. Well, I guess that’s about it. Just stay tuned for more updates and fun posts. I will talk to you guys later.

Halloween!!!

Yes, it is that that time of that year again. No, not Christmas time, you’re two months early. That must mean it’s Halloween time!!! The only time of the year when you can be a little kid at heart and dress up, and not be criticized for eating candy nonstop. The time when dentists get paid the most because all the little kids get monstrous amounts of cavities.

To all of you who don’t wait until you get home to eat your candy, you’re not alone. I for one, eat my candy when we are walking around in the neighborhood. Only my favorite kinds that is. When my family and I get home, my brother and I empty out our candy holder thingy(I have no clue what they’re called) and go through every single piece of candy. My parents make sure that all of the candy is good to eat first. Then we give them the candy that we don’t not like, and my brother and I swap candies and all. It’s a very put together process. As I’m typing this, I realize that all of that information is probably irrelevant to you. Whoever, you, are.  I really wanted to write this blog to ask, are you ever too old to dress up for Halloween? This question is guided towards the teenagers out there. I really have no say so if you’re 25 and dressing up for Halloween. That’s completely up to you. I however, will only dress up when I’m older for a party. Not to dress up along with my kids and ask for people the same age as I am for candy. I can go buy some if I really wanted it. But with saying that, I know that some people think they’re “too old” to dress up for Halloween. They think they’ll look “childish” or something like that. I personally think if you want to dress up, go for it. Like I said earlier, you get to be a little kid at heart. Which is always fun. Who doesn’t like going back in time, and revisiting  all of your old memories. You can relive those memories, again and again. So back to the question of “Are you ever too old to dress up for Halloween?” My answer would be, no. Have the time of your life on that very special day. What about you guys? Ice Skating?!?!?

Does anyone really know how to ice skate? I sure don’t. Then why do I want to do it for my birthday??? I sure couldn’t answer that. Maybe because I’ve never gone. Maybe because I saw it on TV and liked it. Does anyone know the answer to that? Probably not.When I watch ice skating on TV, they make it look all graceful and easy. I’m pretty sure that when I go that I will fall flat on my face. I’m way to clumsy for it not happen. My friends and I will help each other out and maybe, just maybe, learn how to ice skate. Now that I type that, I’m not so sure it’s going to work out. I even looked up how to ice skate, but that didn’t work out so well. The link I went to totally confused me, and I’m back to Plan A. I’m not even sure that I left that step. Now I’m positive the sleepover part of my party will be the better half of the night. Well, wish me luck! Everyone knows I really need it.

What Makes A Great Blog?

This post is for Challenge 4 of the Student Blogging Challenge.

How can a blog be improved you say? What makes a great blog? I have the answer to that. Well, somewhat. Anyone can have a great blog as long as you work at it. By this I don’t mean dedicate your whole life to your blog 24/7, but make an effort. Your readers like to see that you are fully committed to your blog and that you care about it. Another tip to a great blog is to have a variety. If you really like a certain show or group, please do us all a favor and don’t talk about it nonstop. Have a variety and talk about other things. But when that new CD comes out that you absolutely have to get, go ahead and rant. We ALL want to hear about your interests. For example, I can’t wait for my birthday next month, I’m so excited. All gifts are accepted.(: Anyways, you will probably hear all about my party, gifts, funny moments, everything. I’m getting so happy just talking about it. But enough about that. I guess what I’m trying to say is just be yourself. That’s the best advice anyone can give. Well, that and don’t eat yellow snow. Once you learn that being yourself is the best option, you will have more readers and an even better blog. I hope you take my advice, and apply it to you!

If You Were To Visit Nevada

Why should you visit Nevada you may ask? Well to start off, in my opinion, Las Vegas is the place to be. There are hotels, casinos, and lots of places to visit. The most popular place to visit is The Strip. There are restaurants, casinos, malls in the surrounding area, and many more. I can guarantee you that there is something you will enjoy in at least one hotel and/or casino. For example, The Mandalay Bay has the Shark Reef Aquarium. There are sharks, giant rays, sea turtles, jellyfish, and many more. It is a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it. The Excalibur features the Tournament of Kings. This event has a three- course meal with jousting , fireworks, and much more. Mind you, there is no silverware. Due to the Medieval Times theme, you eat with your hands. You do have cups though, not to worry. The Tournament  Of Kings is very interactive, and the whole family would enjoy. Lastly, The Venetian is a very nice place to visit.  It features The Blue Man Group, yes blue men, but don’t judge by the name. Despite their blue faces, it is very entertaining. They play music, colors explode everywhere, and much more. This is a must-see while in Las Vegas. After reading this blog, please keep in mind that there are lots more places that you can explore while in Las Vegas and Nevada. Maybe one day you will come visit!!!

To Show Or Not To Show?

I don’t think it is ever appropriate to put a picture of myself on this blog. It is for security purposes. If you search my blog on Google or any other search engine, I’m sure it will pop up. People around the world can see my picture, and it is not safe for myself. There are people who go on the internet for bad intentions, and I don’t want to be a victim of this horrid behavior. This goes the same for my last name, city, school, etc. They will never be disclosed in any circumstances. Even on social networking sites, I have to know who you are for you to see my pictures and personal information. It’s for the safety of myself and family. As other people might disagree, I personally think it’s never appropriate to post a photo of yourself on your blog.
